2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trims
The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a two-row crossover SUV. The Cherokee may be classified as a small SUV, but it has a big heart and has held its own against stiff competition since its introduction in 2014.
There are six trims available in the Cherokee range for 2023. As in the past, each trim level has all the features of the lower levels, with additional features.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
The Laredo is the entry-level trim for the Cherokee, priced starting at $54,045. This capable vehicle comes with a 3.6L V6 that puts out 293hp and 260 lb/ft of torque, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Laredo’s fuel consumption is 12 L/100km around town and 9 L/100km on the highway.
The Laredo comes with the Quadra-Trac I 4X4 system. As with all Cherokees, if it isn’t required, it is disconnected but immediately brought back into service when needed. The interior is very comfortable, with power-adjusted front seats and a 21.3 cm flush screen running UConnect 5 with voice commands. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and SiriusXM satellite radio are included.
As with all the Grand Cherokee models, there is a full range of driver and safety aids. Standard aids include forward-collision warning, active braking, cyclist and pedestrian collision protection, blind-spot monitoring, lane management and adaptive cruise control.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude
The Altitude is next in line, with a starting price of $54,440. This vehicle has the same drivetrain and transmission as the Laredo. Upgrades for this model include 20” gloss black aluminum wheels; black exterior accents, including the mirrors; seats upholstered in black leather; a smartphone wireless charging pad; a powered tailgate; and remote start capability.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
A step up from the Altitude, you find the Limited, starting at $62,440. The Limited is also equipped with the same drivetrain and transmission as the Altitude.
Upgrades from the Altitude include heated front and rear seats upholstered in leather, with the front seats being power adjusted. Also included are Selec-Terrain traction management and a premium audio system with six speakers and noise cancellation.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
The Overland starts at $71,340 and comes with a 5.7L Hemi V8 putting out 357 hp and 390 lb/ft of torque. The same eight-speed automatic transmission is mated to this motor. The Overland has a Quadra-Trac II 4X4 system fitted with Quadra-Lift suspension. The Overlands fuel consumption is 16 L/100km for city driving and 10 L/100km on the highway.
The Overland has all the interior attributes of the Limited, along with a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats faced with Nappa leather and a hands-free, foot-operated power-assisted tailgate.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit
The Summit comes in at the top end of the range. It starts at $76,045 and carries the same drivetrain as the Overland.
The Summit carries the Quadra-Drive II 4x4 system with an electronic limited-slip differential. The interior upgrades for the Summit include a 25.6 cm touchscreen running the infotainment selection and Nappa leather-trimmed front seats with a massage function. There are additional driver aids fitted. These include detection for drowsy drivers, traffic sign recognition technology and a highway assistance system.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve
For ultimate luxury, look no further than the Limited Reserve, which starts at $76,490 and has the same drivetrain as the Summit.
The Summit reserve is the ultimate luxury vehicle in the Cherokee range. This stunning vehicle has the same technology as the Summit, with seats and door panels trimmed in Palermo leather, a 19-speaker audio system supplied by McIntosh, and the front passengers get an interactive display screen.
The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a multi-faceted SUV that combines a masculine image with elegant refinement. The Grand Cherokee gives the driver a smooth, composed drive. The performance of both the V6 and V8 engines is perky, with plenty of power for safe overtaking.
The entry-level trims offer a simple mainstream package, but as the trim levels rise, the models are packed with luxury materials and upmarket features. Despite the elegance and luxury trims, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee retains all its off-road capability. Under all this elegance is a Jeep that will traverse gnarly terrain, glide along a highway or transport the family around town. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee will happily tow a camping trailer or boat and have room to carry all the luggage.
