2023 Ram 1500: What’s New?

Just when we thought the 1500 Ram couldn’t get any better, we were delighted to find that the Ram brand has outdone itself once more with the release of the 2023 Ram 1500. The manufacturer keeps raising the benchmark, and rivals will once again struggle to keep up.

Updates you’re getting when you purchase the 1500 is a Uconnect5 system configured on a 30.48cm touchscreen that now has an Emergency Vehicle Alert System. Other standard enhancements include a tailgate LED hitch lamp and Rear-Seat Reminder Alert in all trims. Also, all Limited trims, including the Laramie, will be available with 55.88cm all-terrain tires with the Off-Road Group package. As part of the Back-Country Package, you'll be able to purchase the Rebel with Selec-Speed Control.

You’ll be able to upgrade to the new Limited Elite Edition, which includes many extra exterior features, including interior enhancements that consist of ventilated and heated 12-way adjustable seats throughout, leather premium bucket seats, a suede headliner and a unique instrument cluster. The RED Edition explodes back on the scene with a RED Ram grille, a limited crew cab configuration and unique RED badging to show your support for the Global Fund.

Trims and Pricing

You can choose from eight trims: the TRX, Limited, Limited Longhorn, Rebel, Big Horn or Lone Star, Tradesman HFE and the Tradesman. There hasn’t been official communication regarding the MSRP of the 2023 mode. We expect the starting price to be above the $45,000 mark. However, keep returning to this page for the latest updates. Alternatively, you can contact City Chrysler for more information.

Engines and Performance

The 1500 can be purchased in four powerful engines, which can take a total payload of 2,300 pounds (1,043 kilograms) and haul a top load of 12,750 pounds (5,783 kilograms). The TRX is the fastest half-ton truck on the planet, and it’s guaranteed to get your pulse racing with the V8 HEMI 6.2-litre with 650 pound-feet of torque and 702 horsepower.

Buyers who want all the power but want to make a smaller carbon footprint and save on fuel costs will prefer the V8 HEMI 5.7litre (VVT), which has a configuration to optimize efficiency and still gives enough kick at 410 pound-feet of torque and 395 horsepower. Other engine formats include the V6 eTorque 3.6-litre (269 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower) and the V6 EcoDiesel 3.0-litre (480 pound-feet of torque and 395 horsepower).

Bed and Cab Configurations

There are three bed and cab configurations available: the Crew Cab (1.95), Crew Cab (1.73m bed) or the Quad Cab (1.95m bed).
