Trims, Prices, and Specifications - The Altitude

The Altitude and Trailhawk trims share several key characteristics, including an all-wheel-drive drivetrain, a four-cylinder engine, and automatic transmission. The Altitude has a fuel consumption rate of 11 L / 100km (city) and 8 L / 100km (highway), while the Trailhawk’s fuel consumption rate isn’t much different at 11 L / 100km (city) and 9 L / 100km (highway).

The Altitude, which has a starting price of $46,995, comes with a 2.4L MultiAir I-4 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The gross vehicle weight rating is 2,494 kg, while the fuel tank capacity is 59.8 L. It offers a collection of valuable features, including the engine auto stop-start feature, engine oil cooler, special towing equipment, electric power-assist speed-sensing steering, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and permanent locking hubs. The wheels are 18-inch gloss black five-spoke aluminum, and it offers body-coloured door handles, deep-tinted glass, front fog lamps, and more exterior features.

Inside the Altitude, you’ll find a 10-way power driver seat, folding split-bench, and a driver footrest. Premium leather-faced bucket seats, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and a day-night auto-dimming rearview mirror are all standard on the Altitude, alongside many additional valuable features.

No matter what vehicle you’re driving, safety is a key factor for Jeep. That’s why the company equipped the Altitude with safety features, including electronic stability control and roll stability control. Other safety features include dual-side airbags, selec-terrain ABS, driveline traction control, blind-spot detection, automated parking sensors, and more. Rear child safety locks and a rear-view camera are also standard to provide additional safety.

For the infotainment system, the Altitude comes with the Uconnect 4C NAV with an 8.4-inch display, a six-speaker audio system, and an integrated roof antenna - all standard.

Trims, Prices, and Specifications - The Trailhawk

The Trailhawk, starting at $51,495, provides several significant upgrades from the Altitude. The wheels are 17-inch black aluminum, while exterior features include a full-size spare tire, tow hooks, black power heated side mirrors, and more. Power liftgate rear cargo access and auto high-beam headlamps with delay-off are also standard, and the Trailhawk comes with black body-side cladding and black side-windows trim.

The Trailhawk offers a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, manual tilt/telescoping steering column, and dual-zone front automatic air conditioning. Apart from the standard Cherokee interior features that we’ve already discussed with the Altitude, the Trailhawk offers a plethora of comfort features, including full floor console with covered storage and concealed storage in the cargo area. And like the Altitude, the Trailhawk comes with Uconnect 4C NAV 8.4-inch display.

A Reliable Companion

Both models of the Cherokee can tow up to 3,300 kg. Designed to excel off-road, the vehicle has every feature needed to be ranked among the most reliable SUVs on the market. Considering the valuable features and off-road capabilities, the Cherokee is one of the best SUVs this year.
